Abstract

In a luggage case comprising opposed shells 1, 2 having metal frames 3, 4 around their mouths which meet when the case is closed, the frames are each of L-shaped section. One, longer, limb 5 of each frame 3, 4 overlaps and is secured to peripheral wall portions of the associated shell, and the other, shorter, limb 6 extends across the edges of the peripheral wall portions. The longer limb of one frame 3 may be fixed on the outside of the associated shell, and the longer limb of the other frame 4 may be fixed on the inside of the other shell. The shorter limbs of the two frames meet when the shells are closed. Preferably the shorter limb of each frame has a return lip 18, 19 at or near its extremity. <IMAGE>
