Abstract
An ingestible monitoring device for use in monitoring ruminant animals, comprising at least 2 parameter sensors 3, 4 selected from temperature, pH, ammonium levels and nitrate levels. It also comprises a reference electrode 2 to calibrate said parameter sensors. The arrangement also comprises wireless communication means, a power supply and loop, hook or magnetic means with which to capture the device and remove it from the stomach.
