Abstract

A photo-reactive, tinted, mirrored or polarised lens is engraved with an image, logo or text. According to the type of lens used the image, logo or text will be visible in normal light conditions or in high UV conditions. The lens is preferably an ophthalmic lenses for sunglasses. The engraving preferably removes the mirrored, tinted or photochromatic layer from the lens to produce the image, logo or text.
