Abstract

A child seat 1 comprises a seat element 2 for supporting a child, two front wheels 4 which are connected to the seat element 2 and located at a distance from each other in transverse direction of the child seat 1, and two L-shaped foot rests 8 which are connected to the seat element at a distance from each other in transverse direction of the child seat 1. The foot rests 8 are rotatable with respect to the seat element about longitudinal rotational axes 9. In a bicycle seat configuration the foot rests 8 are rotated such that they are spaced from each other in transverse direction so as to be able to fit the child seat onto a bicycle. In a stroller configuration the front wheels 4 are located at least partially at a greater distance from the seat 2 than the foot rests 8 and a rear wheel 5 is deployed. In a car seat configuration the foot rests 4 are rotated to form a generally U-shaped arrangement and located closely beneath the seat element 2 to at least partly form a base of the seat. The wheels 4 may be received in recesses in the foot rests 8.
