Abstract

The present invention provides a method and a kit for the application of decorative nail coverings on to nails. A first layer 12 and a second layer 14 which are to be applied on to the nail 10 of a user. The first layer 12 comprises a decorative nail layer 12 whilst the second layer 14 comprises a protective nail layer 14. Both are very thin and each includes a self adhesive surface which is solely pressure sensitive. Firstly, the decorative nail layer 12 is peeled from a backing material and is firmly pressed on to a nail 10. The protective nail layer 14 is then peeled from a backing material and is firmly pressed over the decorative nail layer 12. Both applications are conducted ay ambient temperature and no heat is supplied to the layers 12, 14 since the adhesive is purely pressure sensitive.
