Abstract

A heating or cooling device comprising a first container, said container having enclosed therein a heating or cooling composition comprising a material which is exothermically or endothermically soluble in water, water and a thickener, and said heating or cooling device having means separating the exothermic or endothermic material from the water. The device of the present invention has improved characteristics over known heating or cooling devices, particularly with regard to the temperatures attained on activation of the device and the maintenance of these temperatures.
