Abstract

A container liner (1, 61, 81) is provided adapted to line a container of the type comprising a rigid metal box having a base. Such a container may be an intermodal shipping container or an air freight ULD type container. The liner (1, 61, 81) comprising at least five substantially rigid panels (5, 7, 15, 17) hingedly connected together so as to be foldable from a substantially flat condition, to a substantially erect condition in which the panels (5, 7, 15, 17) form a floor panel to line the floor of the container, two side panels to line at least part of the side walls of the container, and two end panels to line at least part of the end walls of the container. The liner may have a sixth panel comprising a ceiling panel. The panels (5, 7, 15, 17) may be arranged to be biased to the substantially erect condition, the liner thus springing automatically to the substantially erect condition from the substantially flat condition. The side panels of the liner (1, 61, 81) may be dimensioned to extend only partially up the side wall of the container when in the substantially erect condition. The panels may be provided with means of attachment to the interior of the container.
