Abstract

A drive chain for a cycle or the like comprises a plurality of pairs of outer link plates and inner link plates with at least one pair of detachable outer link plates 5a each of which has an aperture with a supporting portion 8 having a diameter less than that of the connecting pins 6a and with insertion portions 9 having a greater diameter than said connecting pins 6 though contiguous with said supporting portions. The removable connecting pin 6a has at each end thereof an annular engaging groove 10 smaller in diameter than the removable connecting pin 6a. Preferably projection means are provided to restrain the pair of detachable outer link plates 5a from moving longitudinally relative to the extended chain, thereby preventing accidental detachment of said detachable outer link plates 5a. <IMAGE>
