Abstract

A solar module is assembled as two or more lines of series-connected discrete photovoltaic cells. Multiple resistive interconnections are made between neighbouring lines such that cell variances whether from manufacturing or operational issues such as shading have a reduced effect upon the peak power that can be extracted from the module.
