Abstract

Novel doxorubicin-estrogen conjugates having selective antitumour properties are prepared from estrone, estradiol, 17 alpha -ethynylestradiol, or 17 alpha -methylestradiol by reaction with monobromoacetic acid and potassium ethylate, followed by condensation with 14-bromodaunorubicin.
