Abstract

A signal to be synthetically extracted in real time from noise is sampled together with the noise into component elementary signals E???. A plurality of possible replicas of said signal R1...Ri...Rp are stored in a replica store, and allowed to selectively succeed one another in accordance with syntactic rules of succession. Each component elementary signal E alpha is compared in real time with the replicas R1....Ri....Rp and similarity indices I<1> alpha ...I<i> alpha ....I<p> alpha derived and arranged in decreasing order. The values of the replica numbers sj with the associated similarity indices dj=I<s> alpha <j> are written in the lines of a first processing store; the sequence of the higher similarity indices obtained in the successive processing steps for the previous component elementary signals, and the sequence of the replica numbers associated therewith are written in a line of a second processing store; at each processing step for a new component elementary signal, the higher similarity index relating to said new elementary signal written in said first processing store is added to the sequence of higher similarity indices relating to the already processed previous elementary signals and stored in said second processing store and the replica number relating to said new elementary signal written in said first processing store is added to the sequence of replica numbers relating to the already processed previous elementary signals and stored in said second processing store.
