Abstract
A microfilm camera has a diaphragm 161, 162 rotatable into the path of the exposing beam 17, 18 to an extent corresponding to the photoelectrically measured brightness of the original. As shown, the diaphragm comprises two blades 161, 162 mounted on a common shaft rotatable by a motor. The invention provides a very short response time. Fig. 2 (not shown) shows a central circuit in which an original brightness signal from photoelectric devices (6) is compared (at 31) with a signal indicating the instantaneous position of the diaphragm to provide a motor control signal. Fig. 1 (not shown) shows the camera which line-by-line copies both sides of a strip of originals. <IMAGE>
