Abstract

The connector comprises a central connecting member 20, a first 40 and second 70 nut, a resilient bung 30, a resilient adhering material 50 and a crown 60. The connector is suitable for use with a heating pipe 10 carrying an electric heating line 80, the pipe being filled with a fluid to be heated, such as oil (B). The resilient bung may provide a hermetic seal with the central connecting member so that oil in the pipe cannot leak under pressure. The resilient bung may, in use, extend into the pipe such that the electric heating wire cannot come into contact with the central connecting member, thereby preventing a short circuit. The resilient adhering material may extend beyond the crown such that the crown cannot come into contact with and damage the electric heating line. The junction connector may be used in combination with an under floor heating system.
