Abstract

A ring shaped blank (20) is interposed between a rotatable die (1) having a surface (3) corresponding to an outer peripheral shape of a wheel rim and a rotatable pressing roll (11) provided within the die (1), either the die (1) or the roll (11) is driven, and the pressing roll (11) is moved toward the die (1) so as to roll and shape the material while restraining the outside diameter dimension by the die (1). Any excess material is extruded sideways to form flashes on the edges of the rim. <IMAGE>
