Abstract

Indolo (2,3-a) quinolizidines of the formula I and II <IMAGE> in which R=-COOC2H5, -COOH, -CN, aminomethyl, amido or amidomethyl or in which R and the indolo ring nitrogen together provide -N-CO- NH-CH2- or -N-CO-. Also acid addition salts and a process for their preparation starting from 2-aminoethyl-3-indole and 1- chloro-4-(ethoxycarbonyl or cyano)-4- chlorocarbonyl-hexane. The products are useful in the field of cerebral irrigation.
