Abstract
A process for silylating organic and organosilicon compounds having carbon-bonded and/or silicon-bonded -OH and/or <IMAGE> groups in the molecule. The process comprises contacting the compound with a silacyclopentenyl disilazane, optionally in the presence of a catalyst, and is particularly applicable to the protective silylation of biologically-active compounds.
