Abstract

A container has a closure member 12 initially hingedly connected thereto for movement between an open position, in which the container can be filled through a filling opening in the container, and a closed position, in which said opening is closed by the closure member. The container is sealed after filling by sealing the closure member in its closed position to the container. The closure member closes the bottom of a tubular container which is already closed at its top with a sealed-on closure member 11 having a readily openable portion. The hinge is constituted by one or more extension strips 14-16 of lining laminate lining the inner surface of the closure member 12. <IMAGE>
