Abstract
An aircraft head-up display system has an observer's display unit (11) rotatable in azimuth; an observer's head position detection system (13) which develops an output representative of the angular position of the observer's head (15) at least in azimuth with respect to a datum direction fixed in the aircraft; and, servo means (12) between the detection system and the display unit effective in response to said output so as to rotate the display unit in sympathy with the observer's head position. The invention finds particular application in helicopters. <IMAGE>
