Abstract

A pharmaceutical preparation for inhalation comprises an antihistaminic benzhydrylether, alkylamine, or benzocycloheptathiophene (e.g. clemastine, chlorphenitamine, ketotifen, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof), preferably together with a diluent or carrier, in an inhalation device. The pharmaceutical inhalation device, which is preferably designed to administer a dosage unit of the antihistamine, can be in the form of a pressurised aerosol inhaler delivering a dry powder or liquid aerosol, or a dry powder insufflator. The preparation is for treatment or prophylaxis of reversible airways obstruction.
