Abstract

A bearing has bearing rolling elements 10 located between inner and outer bearing races 11, 12 and maintained out of contact with each other by rollers 13. A respective roller 13 is located between each pair of adjacent elements 10 and its radial position is limited at least in use by opposed axially inwardly directed flanges 14 on one of the races 11, 12. The arrangement provides that the rollers 13, which retain the elements 10 out of rolling contact, are themselves maintained out of contact with the adjacent race at least during use of the bearing. <IMAGE>
