Abstract

Viewdata-type display apparatus in which there is provided a multiplexing arrangement (5) by means of which a plurality of Viewdata terminals (7) may be connected to share a common telephone line (1). Each terminal is provided with a number sender (9) and a display (8), by means of which the number of a selected 'page' of information from a plurality of pages available at a remote source may be signalled, and the information in respect of that page returned for display, when the terminal is connected to the telephone line in its turn by way of the multiplexing arrangement. The number sender may comprise a repertory dialler or a set of slider switches or a push button key-pad. <IMAGE>
