Abstract

A gyroscope comprises a rotor 1 surrounded, at least partially by a fixed mesh grating 7 which extends parallel to the flow directions generated by the rotor in the air within the housing 2 so as to confine these flows to the region 8 between the mesh and the rotor and to balance the aerodynamic forces on the rotor. <IMAGE>
