Abstract

Apparatus for use in making signs, displays or artwork consists of a base board 1 to which a receptor surface, for example a sign sheet, may be secured. A sheet holder 22 is movably mounted on the base board and removably supports a carrier sheet 23 containing indicia formed of dry transfer material to overlie the receptor surface. The carrier sheet is slidable on or with the sheet holder back and forth horizontally across the receptor surface. The sheet holder is mounted to move vertically across the receptor surface in equal size steps between successive registered positions. The spacing between the lines of letters on the carrier sheet is an integral multiple of the step size so that when letters are successively transferred from different lines of the carrier sheet to the same line on the receptor surface, those letters are accurately level with one another and properly horizontally aligned. <IMAGE>
