Abstract

A sub-frame (26) is movable relative to a main frame (10) in a direction towards a bandsaw blade 82 and perpendicular to the direction of movement of the main frame relative to the bandsaw when a handle (88) on the sub-frame and a sleeve (90) on the main frame are squeezed together; a thrust member (76) is slidable along the sub- frame to push the meat into a cutting position and a spring disposed between the sub-frame and main frame causes the sub-frame to move away from the blade (82) when the squeeze grip on the handle and sleeve is released after a slice of meat has been cut. <IMAGE>
