Abstract

Metal is poured into a runner system of an inclined mould at 3, flows down channel(s) 4, and when the bottom of the channel(s) 4 is filled overflows a ridge 8 into the mould cavity. Molten metal first enters the cavity at a point 9. Feeder heads 2 are provided at the highest part of the cavity. <IMAGE>
