Abstract

An electric motor has an end cap 3 formed of electrically insulating material through which extends the terminals 4, 5 of the motor and a rectifier arrangement 8, 9, 10, 11 mounted in close proximity to the surface of the end cap. The individual rectifiers are so interconnected mechanically and electrically among themselves and with the terminals (in a rectifier bridge in the illustrated embodiment) that coupling of a source of alternating voltage to two lead wires of the rectifier arrangement drives the motor in a predetermined sense. <IMAGE>
