Abstract

The invention relates to valves, such as water taps. In one embodiment, the tap has a hollow body 10 provided with an internal partition 101 formed with a valve seat. A reciprocable valve closure member comprising a plunger 25 is displaceable into and out of the valve cylinder, respectively, to close and open the tap, by means of a conventional, manually operable, screw-threaded spindle 20. <IMAGE>
