Abstract

A vehicle cleaning apparatus includes at least one cleaning unit, each unit comprising a pair of spaced parallel support arms 14, 15 pivotable at one pair of ends about an axis transverse to their length, and interconnected at the other pair of ends by a brush assembly having at least one brush array 24, 25 arranged so that the brushes remain in contact with a vehicle being cleaned as the array passes from one surface of the vehicle round a corner thereof to another surface whilst the support arms pivot on their pivotal axis, the brush array being reciprocated in a direction parallel to its length whilst water or other detergent is delivered through or adjacent the brush array onto the vehicle surface being cleaned. <IMAGE>
