Abstract

A tile and method of constructing it, the tile having a first plastics material layer (10) with anti-slip formations (11) on one side and projections, in one example in the form of flanges on the other side, and a further layer (12) of insulating plastics material of depth at least equal to the depth of the projections, and in said one example filing the interior up to the depth of the flanges. The tile is used above felt on flat roofs. <IMAGE>
