Abstract

The femoral part of a partial knee prosthesis comprises a metal femoral plate 7 having an integral parallelepiped-shaped protrusion 8 to be set in the femur, this protrusion being provided with peripheral keying grooves to enhance union between the protrusion and the femur. The tibial part of the prosthesis consists of an anchorage socket 3 rotatably receiving a protrusion of a tibia plate 5, the plate having the shape of a segment of a cylinder with the straight edge of the segment able to be positioned adjacent the shafts of the femur. <IMAGE>
