Abstract

An electrical energy supply system for space divider systems in which a plurality of upright wall panels (12) are arranged end-to-end on leg supports (22), is located below the wall panels. The system consists of a plurality of connected sections (30), each of which corresponds to a wall panel and comprises two connector assemblies (34) mechanically connected by a conduit enclosing cables (56) connected to contacts (46) mounted within the end (44) of each assembly (34). The contacts (46) of adjacent connector assemblies (34) are either joined directly, as shown, or via a flexible or a rigid connector (Figures 5 and 6, not shown). An assembly (34) of each section (30) is provided with a socket outlet (70) provided with a selector to determine which of two circuits is available at the outlet (70), and each assembly (34) is clamped to a respective leg support (22). <IMAGE>
