Abstract

200,404. Abe, O. Sept. 11, 1922. Wells. - In a well, the strainer 2 is provided with one or more flanges 3 with radial apertures in which pegs 6 are arranged, a thin copper wrapping 4 being arranged around each flange to retain the pegs; after sinldng the bore-hole and the casing 1, the latter is raised slightly, the strainer is lowered into position and by means of a conical hammer 7, the wrapping 4 is ruptured and the pegs are forced outwardly into the ground to support the strainer. The casing is then lowered so as to rest on the pegs.
