Abstract
The relative displacement and velocity of the vehicle suspension sprung and unsprung masses are used as control parameters and these are processed in order to control via a valve 2 the response of a unit 1 active as a damper, whereby oscillations are actively damped. The pressure in the unit 1 is also used as a control parameter. <IMAGE>
