Abstract

A method of and a means for removing a covering of rubber 2 from a tubular body 3 to which such covering is bonded utilises a cutting device 12 mounted for movement relative to the body and in the axial direction thereof, the cutting device having an annular cutting edge 15 arranged coaxially of the body and movable through the covering adjacent the body/ covering interface to strip the covering from the body. <IMAGE>
