Abstract
4-Amino-1,2,4-triazolium compounds of formula <IMAGE> wherein R<1> represents ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl, allyl, 2-butenyl or 1-methyl-2- propenyl; and when R<1> represents ethyl, R<2> and R<3> each represent 3-methylbutyl and R<4> represents methyl; when R<1> represents n-propyl, R<2> and R<3> each represent methyl and R<4> represents n-decyl; when R<1> represents n-butyl, R<2> and R<3> each represent n-butyl and R<4> represents methyl; when R<1> represents allyl, either R<4> represents ethyl and R<2> and R<3> each represent n-butyl; or R<4> represents methyl and R<2> and R<3> each represent n-butyl or one of them represents phenyl while the other represents 3- methylphenyl; when R<1> represents 2-butenyl, R<2> and R<3> each represent 2-methyl-propyl and R<4> represents methyl; and when R<1> represents 1-methyl-2- propenyl, R<2> and R<3> each represent 2- methylpropyl and R<4> represents methyl; and X< theta > represents, when R<1> represents ethyl or n-butyl, chloride, and otherwise, one equivalent of an anion, are pesticides and plant growth regulants, especially selective herbicides or fungicides. Intermediate N-benzoyl-N'- phenylthiocarbonyl hydrazines and 4- n-decylideneamino-1,2,4-triazoles are also claimed.
