Abstract

A substrate device for use in for example tape recorders, radio receivers, furniture, time-keeping devices and toys comprising a substrate 2 made of hard material e.g. metal to which is outsert moulded a synthetic resin member 9, whereby the moulded member 9 is firmly secured by provision of protruberances and/or depressions 8a, 8d on at least one surface of the substrate member 2 so as to be embedded in or on the moulded member. A depression may be provided on one surface of the substrate member and a protuberance may be provided in a corresponding position in the opposite surface thereof. The protuberances and/or depressions may be circular, may be in the form of an arc or arcs, and may be arranged radially about an aperture. The moulded member may be a spring, bearing, spigot, or plate. <IMAGE>
