Abstract

Apparatus for launching a payload 34 (for example, a satellite) from a carrier spacecraft 30 (for example, a space shuttle vehicle) in space arranged to urge the payload away from the carrier spacecraft and also to spin the payload up to a desired spin rate. The apparatus is also arranged to re-accept a payload after launch. <IMAGE>
