Abstract

A self-contained and portable steam power plant comprises a burner firing a steam generator, part of the output of which drives a piston and cylinder steam engine, and part of which is utilised in an indirect water heater. The burner utilises a gas pilot light and pre-heater, and may burn paraffin, natural gas, waste sump oil, or shredded garden waste.
