Abstract

This invention provides a process for the inhibition of corrosion in collapsible aluminium tubes comprising treating the tubes, before filling, with a solution containing silicate ions and thereafter drying the tubes. Optionally, the solution may contain a non-ionic detergent. Preferably, a solution of sodium silicate is used.
