Abstract

200,071. Independent Paper Mills, Inc., (Assignees of Horwitt, P. H.). June 27, 1922, [Convention date]. Sheet - separators; pile supports.-A pile support for holding paper napkins, towels, toilet paper, &c. in such a manner that the top article can be readily removed from the pile. consists of a support 11 on a stand 10, the articles being arranged at rightangles to one another to facilitate separation of the top article. The articles are arranged between posts 12 and their outer edges are kept down by a metal member 13 with a central aperture through which the top article &c. can be readily withdrawn, and with flanges 17 which prevent attempts to remove articles by acting on those arranged below the top one. The manner of supporting the articles causes a bulging in the centre which allows the top one to be separated readily. The posts 12 are formed with knobs 16 which prevent accidental removal of the member 13, the posts being capable of being sprung to allow removal of this member if desired. The flanges 17 shown may be replaced by flanges projecting upwardly from the support 11.
