Abstract
199,160. Hudson, P. G., and Hudson, Scott, & Sons, Ltd. March 23, 1922. Corner joints. -Relates to boxes of the type formed from blanks of card, metal, &c., which are assembled by the engagement of tags on one member which slots in an adjacent member disposed at right-angles, the slots being shaped to cause a deformation of the ears of the tags as they are passed through the slots. According to the invention, the slots b are curved, either at one end only, as shown in Fig. 1, or on both sides, as shown in Fig. 2. The tags a are slotted at one or both sides to correspond with their complementary slots, and are preferably rounded as shown. As shown in Fig. 3, the tags and slots may be utilized in pairs, and a plate with straight slots b may be interposed between the members to be joined, so that the joint, cannot readily be broken from the outside.
