Abstract

199,130. Burger, P. L. March 15, 1922. Continuous apparatus for developing, fixing, washing, and drying.-In apparatus for the development, drying, and like treatment of a long photographic film in which the film travels between two sets of pulleys 2, 6, the, pulleys 6 of one set are mounted in forked rods 7, free to rotate so as to maintain the lengths of the free edges of the intervening portions of the film equal. The rods 7 can move vertically in plates 8 which are slidable in the tanks and drying chamber G. To vary the time of treatment the film and the pulleys can be moved bodily from the tanks by hydraulic means, or alternatively the tanks may be raised or lowered. The apparatus also includes cleaning brushes F, velvet or rubber covered pressure rollers 3, and means to indicate the position of the pulleys in the tanks.
