Abstract

196,960. Plantation Rubber Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Snell, S. E., and Dessau, M. M. Dec. 5, 1921. Flexible pipes.-An attachment for a hose or water tap, applicable as a nozzle or as an anti-drip device or for washing out sinks &c., comprises a blank or blanks of' raw rubber such as commercial smoked sheet manipulated with the aid of a former to produce a tubular portion with abutting edges and flat surfaces in contact, the edges of which are united, the device being subsequently vulcanized by the Peachey or other cold process. The blank may be of the form shown in Fig. 1 folded along the line a, bent round a former, and the edges united to form a fitting of the shape shown in Fig. 2, the excess material being cut away along the lines b.
