Windscreens. - In windscreens for motorcycle side-cars and like vehicles of the type in which a front screen a, Fig. 1, is combined with side screens b having longitudinal slots c which co-operate with clamping devices d to allow a combined longitudinal and pivotal adjustment of the screens, the clamping-bolt h, Fig. 6, is provided with an extended slide arm j fitting within the slot c, and the edges of the slot are gripped between a broad head k of the bolt and an elongated clamping-plate l movable on the bolt. Preferably the clamping-plate l is formed in known manner with a boss o having a square central aperture and a serrated surface p which engages a corresponding serrated surface p<1> on the supporting bracket q. In order to prevent sliding movement of the screen when the clamping-screw m is loosened and a pivotal adjustment is being effected, an additional screw n may be provided for clamping the plate l against the edge of the slot c. When the screen is tilted to its extreme backward position the edges of the side-members abut against padded or cushioned members r mounted, preferably pivotally, on the brackets q. The frames of the screens are formed of wire w, Fig. 4, embraced by metal strips x, y with inner metal strips 4 for holding the celluloid z in place. The front and side screens are hinged together by the strips x, y cn these screens embracing the same wire w.
