Abstract

Studs.-A two-part detachable button or the like comprises a base d having a shank d<2> with a pointed end d<3> provided with a neck d<5>, and a head member c having a central eyeleted hole e<2> through which the end d' of the shank passes. The head c is secured on the shank by a sliding collet f comprising a flat front .bar f<2> and two side arms f<3>, f<4> working in slots e<5> in the front face of the head. The ends f<5> of the arms f<3>, f<4> are shaped as segments of circles and engage the edge of the hole e<2> to decrease the size and prevent withdrawal of the shank d<2> when the collet f is pushed in. The parts are released by putting out the collet.
