Implements with adjustable tool frames; disctool implements; draught devices; steering-gear; seats; lifting tool frames manually; lifting-devices, power; tools, mounting rigidly.-A universal tractor truck to which disc and other ploughs, harrows, cultivating-tools, rakes, road graders, wagons, trucks, &c. may be connected comprises a wheeled frame for attachment to the tractor, a draught frame associated with the wheeled frame and connected to the tractor, and mechanism for raising and lowering the draught frame. The truck is shown connected to the coupling-frame 1 of a tractor having front driving-wheels and steering- mechanism 2, 4, 5 for swinging the frame 1 about a vertical axis. The truck comprises a triangular frame 10, a rigidly mounted cranked axle 11, and ground wheels 12, a curved seat bar 25, and seat 26. The seat bar 25 passes through a slotted support which may be moved to lower the seat. The frame 10 is loosely connected by pins 29 to brackets 7 depending from the coupling-frame 1. The balanced draught frame comprises converging side-bars 30 and a transverse bar 15, and is hung on two links 36 which may be raised and lowered independently. To prevent the draught frame from moving bodily laterally it is loosely connected by two converging bars 38 to fixed bars 41. The draught frame is connected to the draw bar 6 of the tractor by converging bars 52 pivoted on depending arms 50 and attached to an adjustable clevis 54. An adjustable chain 55 connects the front ends of the draught frame and the bars 52. The chain is taut when the frame is raised, but not when the frame is lowered. The links 36 on which the frame is hung are connected to links 60, Fig. 5, pivoted in arms 62 on a shaft 64 journaled in the truck frame 10. Another arm 65 on the shaft 64 is connected by a link 66 to a crank 67 of power-lift mechanism 16 driven from one of the ground wheels through a clutch controlled by a lever 68. A spring 120 assists in raising the frame and prevents it from dropping too suddenly when lowered. It is connected by a link 12 to an arm 123 on the shaft 64. In another arrangement a dog associated with the clutch prevents the frame from dropping. The height of each side of the draught frame may be adjusted independently by levers 71 connected by links 70 to the joint between the links 36, 60. Movement of the lever 71 has little effect when the frame is in its raised position, but considerable effect when it is in its lowered position, consequently the power-lift mechanism always raises the frame to approximately the same level position. The transverse bar 15 is rectangular in section and projects beyond the truck. It is arranged with two of its edges in vertical alignment, so that ploughs &c. may be rigidly and adjustably clamped to it by clamp brackets 32. Fig. 1 shows three ploughs having comparatively short beams 93, 94, 95, the two longer ones 94, 95 being braced together. In another arrangement, two ploughs are attached near each end of the bar 15. In another, two ploughs are mounted near the middle of the bar wth their mould boards facing in opposite directions. In others, two double-mouldboard ploughs and two disc-harrow gangs are employed. The draught bars of wagons, trucks, &c. may be connected to the bar 15. Specification 117,391 is referred to.
