14,285. Hyam, J. Oct. 8. Reels.-The flanges of reels for kinematograph films have slots for the engagement of a clip or peg to which the end of the film is secured. In the form shown in Fig. 8, the slots c are radial and toothed on one side and the wire or sheetmetal clip e for the film f has three prongs. In the form shown in Fig. 9, the slots c are plain and inclined as shown, and a split peg e is used. For winding in either direction, alternate slots may be toothed on opposite sides or arranged obliquely in opposite directions.
