Automatic signals.-Sectional line distribution systems are protected against defects of insulation and other disturbances by disposing parallel conductor branches 1, 2 with intervening inductive resistances 8 and with means, such as spark-gaps 9, set in action by differences in the potentials of the parallel branches which actuate cut-out or signalling devices at the end of the disturbed section.
