Abstract

11,429. Sirch, C. Aug. 7. Pendulum-weight apparatus.-In a weighing- scale, the load-sustaining rod 21 is coupled to two pendulum levers 26 by independent means comprising respectively a bent rod 31 and a frame 29, each coupled to its lever by a link, such as the link 28. The levers 26 are fulcrumed on knife-edges 25, which are straddled by yokes 33 carrying weights 34. A rack 17 pivoted to the hanger 20 operates the indicating- pinion 16. The pendulum levers carry adjustable weights 36, 37 for setting the indicating-pointer to zero position and for compensating for the use of a different pan or hook on the hanger 21. A dash-pot 39 is provided. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1809/69 and 15,935/09.
