Abstract
24,276. Tissier, L. Dec. 24, 1913, [Convention date]. Colour photography.-In a process for taking and projecting photographs in natural colours, a film sensitized on one side and having a lenticular surface on the opposite side is used in conjunction with a prismatically dispersing-device in order tu obtain an infinite number of micro-spectrographs side by side, which, by screening the rays during the projection through the same device, reconstitute the original colours. In one device, Fig. 1, an opaque diaphragm E is used in the lens, and a prismatic dispersing-device C is used, consisting of two elements C', C' of equal and opposite focal length but of different dispersing power, and producing a maximum colour dispersion but practically no deviation. In another modification, Fig. 2, a diffraction grating C is situated in the image plane of the lens A. A field lens d and secondary lens e are situated in the mean diffraction axis of the screen C and project an image on to the lenticulated film B. In a third modification, Fig. 3, the film B is exposed through a tank F containing a dispersing- fluid, such as ethyl cinnamate, and a series of very fine prismatic steps G of glass or of mounted plastic substance. Copies of the film are obtained by the arrangement shown in Fig. 6, in which the lenticulated films B, B<Î> and the dispersion devices C are arranged on either side of the copying-lens, as shown.
